With game engines becoming more and more powerful now is the time to learn how to use them. This is not only used for making games, game engines are now so good that people are making movies in the game engine itself. Whether you are a 3D or 2D artist there are so many possibilities when it comes to Unreal Engine 4. Studios are now looking for concept artists that can cross over and design in UE4 but also concept in conjunction with UE4 or create your own 3D assets for use within the engine.
Alex will walk through step by step how to use UE4, will show the 2D artists how they can develop their worlds and add some amazing finishing touches. 3D students will see how you can create your own custom assets for use in creating you own worlds and levels.
Alex is a 3D character modeller and has worked on several animated shows such as the Adventures of Figaro Pho and Bottersnikes and Gumbles. He is also a regular contributor the to the Valve game Dota 2.
Students will learn to create an environment in Unreal engine.

- Introduction to Unreal engine 4
- Prop modelling in Maya
- Sculpting in Zbrush
- Creating maps in substance painter?
- Creating a scene

These classes will push your drawing, painting, modeling/texturing and design skills to the next level. During the courses you will learn how to how to use industry specific programs with a focus on building your portfolio/reel. You will get to see production techniques used in the industry in every class with the LIVE demos. Each CDW course is taught by working industry professionals who have worked for a range of international companies such as Disney, Blizzard Entertainment, Rising Sun Pictures, WETA, Wizards of the Coast and LEGO just to name a few.
