2D Holiday workshop

This 2-day workshop teaches the fundamentals of digital painting starting with sketching and how to come up with an idea to paint something either fantasy or sci-fi. Throughout the workshop your instructor will cover topics such as values, colour theory, design principles and how to compose a painting from scratch!

In this workshop you will learn how to generate ideas quickly, gather reference, paint interesting compositions and use perspective that help form the basis of fully realised digital paintings. You will start with learning how to create black & white paintings and then the instructor will work with you to put these into practice within your own work. If you are a student who wants to know how to get a job in the industry, or looking to improve your portfolio we recommend you try our holiday workshops first. For this workshop you are welcome to bring along your own laptop, Photoshop and WACOM tablet. Also bring along a notebook/sketchbook to follow along and take notes.

Note: The recommended minimum age for holiday workshops is 14 years old.
