3D Anatomy 1

Advanced Level.

Prerequisite: Intro to Creature Design

This workshop is heavily 3D, focused on building on animal anatomy - prehistoric, muscular and skeletal. The class will move through blocking primary, secondary and tertiary forms, then will delve into polypainting and rendering.

Topics that will be covered throughout the 12 week workshop:

  • Blocking out first and secondary forms (basic shapes and anatomy, major exterior shapes)
  • Polypainting & rendering
  • Blocking out the skeletal system using Dynamesh or Shadow Box
  • Adding details
  • Using Alphas to define areas of interest
  • Rendering

Hardware Requirements:

  • Laptop (at least 16GB RAM recommended)
  • Wacom tablet - any size
  • Notepad/pen (note-taking)
